IBM is all about data. Collecting and analyzing data allows them to do predictions, models, forecasts, probabilities, and creates insights into their client’s businesses that are impossible to see without tons of data, captured, analyzed, over time a large time span. IBM knows that while data is complicated, they can make it easy to understand – and useful for their client’s business. In this light, IBM forged a partnership with the USTA to collect tennis data from the top 100 players around the world. Every forehand, double fault, point, temperature, match duration, serve speed, etc. is captured in real-time.
HUSH was engaged to develop a compelling visual experience that demonstrates interesting insights about tennis data, and displays them in a cool, fun, interactive way accessible to any US Open tennis fan visiting the 2-week event. Through a bit of interaction and play, our audience learns more about the game of tennis, fun facts, and the power of harnessing data. Compare, contrast. Understand what’s going on, with every stroke, every point, and every win.
